Large 17#'s is in the spa @100F to take the chill off and the large is warming up.

Ladies, Gentleman and friends and relatives have an EGGful Thanksgiving and a safe and enjoyable holiday.

    Lit at 5 AM EST and ready to go at 5:30 EST.
    What a joy. The misses is in bed and dad is doing the protein of the day.
    This rascal bird looks good in its Apple Cider brine glaze and will be a hit.
    More eggs for sale at the dealer once guest get a taste of this buzzard.

    4:30 Central time and the Large is lit! 23.5 Turkey is on the counter getting ready. I am STOKED for my first Mad Max Turkey!

    HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERONE!!! :cheer: :cheer:

    Well today is our day to showcase the BGE.

    5:45 am -- the turkey stock is simmering. trot
    6:00 am -- light the egg and set the digi q at 325
    6:45 am -- 18 lb turkey goes on!!
    7:00 am -- continue smelling the sweet aromas coming from the stock
    8:45 am -- leave for 5 mile turkey trot race ( race begins at 9:45)
    11:00 am -- back home tending to turkey
    12 - 1:00 pm -- pull the turkey and let it rest for half hour or so.
    1:30 pm -- indulge in our thanksgiving delights
    2:15 pm -- watch aboout 15 minutes of football before I take my FIRST nap
    4:00 pm -- turkey sandwich, football, and some scotch ( Johnnie Walker Blue today)

Just kidding! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: Since there is only two of us, LC and I will be eating on a 10 lbs bird when she comes home from work later. I have detailed instructions to follow. The good news is none this involves any silicon... :P :P

    Today's mini feast will be of course, turkey, green bean casarole, stuffing, and home made cranberry. Very basic but it will be well executed. :cheer:
