Please tell me those chunks are the aftermath of someone using this wood for Furniture??

If not someone just chunked up a boat load of money..

hello, the black cherry is just fire wood actually which i cut and split , took some chunks from it.....its barkless (but the bark is flakey, like burnt corn flakes) black cherry...........so i'm guessing it should be good then.....wasn't sure as cherry has a very distinct smell if ya were too break a brach off and smell it didn't know what the actually wood was like

    Eggbert,

It is great to smoke with. Very subtle. Distinctive aroma, but not overpowering.

Some folk have availability to different smoke-woods :( .
I think Black Cherry is a bit sot after.
I have some “wild” cherry here and love the way it smokes….Can’t say that it’s black, but it’s cherry and is wonderful ;) .
