Is anyone having problems getting on the forum through AOL? My bookmark www.eggheadforum.com takes me to this really strange BGE site. It won't let me log on to the forum. Any ideas? Thanks, Tom

Yep lots of ideas and none of them you are going to like.

AOL has this really strange caching policy. If any AOL in the last few days goes to a page then AOL AOL user going to that same page is served the cached version.

That cached version gets reset if anyone accesses that page again. It will NOT expire until the cached version has been has not been touched for 24 hours.

Two days ago the URL was screwed up. So now all AOL users will suffer.

In this day and age is simply do not see why people are still using that AOL portal to access the internet. It has past its time of usefulness.

Thanks for the info. I only kept aol because it is free. It had all my favorites and addresses on it so it seemed easy to keep using it. I'm also not very computer savey. Thanks again. Tom

That may be so, but they are still controlling what you see when you see it.

Please you are encapsulating their network into yours and slowing you down.

Ohh if you are talking about the other day that was something with the web server. That was fixed, but it won't clear AOL for a few more days.
