Had a good day on the water today. One 28" redfish (a bull red is anything over 27"), 50 speckled trout, and two puppy drum.
Redfish on my fish cleaning table - will be blackened next Thursday at a demonstration cook at my dealer's store.
50 specs - between 13" and 20" long two drum are somewhere under the specs
Iced down for tonight. Will be cleaning fish in the morning. My BIL provided the adult supervision in the Geaux Tiger boat today.

Great day on the water Frank. Sorry about your tire.
-
Wish I could be there for the finished product. Think about it though, it's soooo much better than Good pics and Bad fish. That can screw up a whole weekend, or more. Good Eats
-
Nice fish! Will you post a picture of your boat? I know I have seen one & want to show some other folks. THANKS!
-
Nice!!!
I keep thinking about that blackened redfish from eggtoberfest - it was incredible!!
Do you think it could be done with halibut? -
Here it is
With watch dogs
-
Absolutely - any non-oily fish.
-
Frank, how do you cook the specs. -RP
-
awesome
now I just need to get out there and get some halibut! -
Dang Frank. I have got to come fishing with you.
Mike -
Several ways - in every case I use filets
1) Real simple - your favorite seasoning and fresh grated parmesan cheese
2) Still simple - your favorite seasoning, cranberries and pear slices, and fresh grated parmesan cheese
3) Staying simple - lemon slices, little brown sugar, and your favorite BBQ sauce
4) Still easy - Trout almondine
5) More complex - Trout menuire
6) Good ole standby and great for a crowd - fried.
The fish axed whereyouat -
There is always a seat open for you.
-
Mike lets figure a date and pin Frank down and lets go fishing! -RP
-
good job. where do you fish? we have a camp in grand isle, mainly fish april to august. have to stop for football season and have never really gotten a chance to learn spots up in the marsh.
-
I primarily fish out of Bayou Dularge. Will wonder off to Cocodrie, Montegut, and Point au Chien every once in a while.
-
I hate it when I get pinned down and have to geaux fishing :woohoo: .
-
gotcha. you know the giardina's from houma? our camp is next to theirs.
-
Don't know them.
