I thought I would show my darling wife why I needed to bring another egg home from Eggtoberfest this year by firing up the twins for a snack or two tonight. Ended up with two planks full of nachos and a couple dozen ABT's.
No more questions on the twins she loved the snacks.
I loaded the plank and nachos up with hamburg, bacon, onions, mushrooms, green and orange peppers, salsa, mozarella and mild cheddar.
Yummy
Barely room for ABT's after all the nachos but who could ever pass them up?????

Go for a medium NOW! Before the endorphin rush wears off from the chilis.

Yah what's with that?
Can't beat the price we get even if it is a 13.5hr drive. -
Cedar planks are from Costco. They usually sell them in a 6 pack so I stock up and typically only use them once then they are firewood. The aroma and taste in the nachos is incredible. We did these at Eggtoberfest and we could not dish them out fast enough.

Thanks I will give it a go.

that looks good is that the official recipe if not can you please provide the recipe as well as the cooking temp and how long they were cooked thanks
-
It is as official as your imagination will take you. I was thinking of adding some fresh chopped garlic next time and maybe even a few dashes of Frank's Hot Sauce to step it up a notch.
Egg is at 350 and the plank is on for about 20 minutes. -
Dunno,
They were a long time dropping them after the dollar parred out. Gouging ya think?

Well I know where our gang will get them plus we benefit from enjoying all the good food, good times, and great people.
Are sales up to bump the price up? -
Hi Bente my garlic cleaning friend. Those other nachos we made were Irish nachos. You enjoyed them did you?
-
yes i did i think they were given to me as a "replacement" for those steaks we peeled garlic for

Next year fore sure. Sorry you missed the prime rib that you helped clean all the garlic for. It took 4hrs to cook and 15mins to cut it up and hand it out.

I don't know and I don't think they care. It is a sideline for them as they are mainly in gassers. Considering the number of us thet trekked to Atlanta you would think they might have made an effort. Just pee's me off that they don't promote. They should jump all over this CDN Eggfest thing but I don't thinl they will help at all.

Have you heard of Porky's BBQ in London? Some of or guys know the owners very well and they are a BGE dealer but also gassers and Primo. There is also a new dealer in St.Thomas so maybe we can get some support from these guys next summer. I wonder if some influence from BGE in Atlanta would get these local dealers involved to help us out.

I understand completely but I don't understand why promotion is not a big deal up here. We have promoted to the point where there are now 6 eggheads in our neighborhood. -
We may need to do that. Ontario gas BBQ in Wooodbridge are pretty serious about eggs as well.
