My finished table

Posted a while back w/ pics of the table I was building for my egg. Had to lower the top shelf after I had placed the egg in there once I found out the hinges were hitting the back ledge preventing the lid from opening fully. Also redid the bottom shelf -- cut out a section to sit the paving stone and extended out the planks to the same length as the top shelf. Finally I put a coat of stain on there to finish it up.
This was my first experience building anything like this from scratch -- came out pretty good if I say so myself

Looks great! What did you use to finish it? Marine spar varnish?

Just used Minwax Dark Chestnut bought at Lowes. Think if I had to do it again, would have gone w/ a little lighter color.

Very nice and especially for your first time. Keep up the good work and enjoy your new cooking space.

Nice job, it looks like you can start on that new living room furniture now.
I would consider putting on a few coats of Spar Polyurethane, it will be a lot easier to keep looking good. -
Very nice. I'll second the clearcoat. It really helps protect it and makes cleaning easier. After all that nice work you don't want to sand and restain every few years.
