Thanksgiving Turkey Trial Run

Ok, My father-in-law and I are going to do a trial run on a turkey the day after Eggtoberfest. If all goes well, we will do it again for Thanksgiving. I'm going to follow the Mad Max instructions.

Can you get a fresh turkey (not frozen) at this time of year? If so, any suggestions for a good place to get one in Atlanta?

try the dekalb farmers market. .. we are going there friday afternoon after the varsity. . .its not far from the bge headquarters, and they have EVERYTHING!!

when are you getting in rick?. ..gonna join us at the varsity?. . .a bunch of us will probably hit the farmers market around 3 - 4 o'clock on friday afternoon after the varsity. . ..its a great place. ...

it'll take me 8-9 hours to drive, so it depends on when i wake up and get moving. if i get there by 4, i'll hit the market.

i'll have graeter's and skyline chili :woohoo:
