Is pecan wood too strong for turkey?
Cecil
Posts: 771
After all discussion of brine or not this week, I have a breast brining in apple and orange juice, water, salt peppercorns and cloves. I love using pecan but wonder if it may be too strong, if so I'll use some apple and cherry.
Thanks,
Walt

I like a blend of apple & pecan for a turkey.

Hi Cecil,
PECAN is PERFECT for TURKEY. I STRONGLY suggest PECAN for TURKEY.
I use a handfull of soaked pecan chips for my turkeys.
