Got one opening up the street. Chain out of Texas? Doesn't seem to have a smoke stack anywhere. Anybody got any experiences with them. Ribs shipped in frozen and heated? Worth trying?

I've eaten at Dickey's in St. Louie and Dallas. It's okay, but I was a little disappointed in their ribs. They seemed more steamed than smoked.

I've eaten at Dickey's in Plano, Dallas and Raleigh. I go for the brisket. Ribs are ok, but I go for the brisket. I like them. I know that there's better, but when you are in NC or the Dallas airport, you don't have much choice when it comes to brisket. The Naked Whiz

I have only eaten at the one in Dallas, OK, but you can tell by the texure that the ribs and bisket were foiled.
The flavor was good. I admit, when it comes to BBQ, I am hard to please. My bad.SEE YOU IN FLORIDA, March 14th and 15th 2014 http://www.sunshinestateeggfest.com You must master temp, smoke, and time to achive moisture, taste, and texture! Visit www.bubbatim.com for BRISKET HELP -
Never ate there, but if the ribs were good before freezing they should be good after reheating.

Whenever I have to change planes in Dallas I eat at Dicky's. It sure beats the other fast food joints.

i have eaten at the ABQ restaurant twice in five years there. gave it the second try because the first was well.........let's say not impressive. the second time the same.Luckily they had two Rudy's in town.
The one opening near you may be good as they are all independently owned and operated and that crew may be good at what they do.
give them a try and judge for yourself as we all have different tastes and standards of acceptance that's why there is no right or wrong ways of cooking on the egg. -
Amen. Gates C6 and A18 are my favorite hangouts. I forget where the other one (or is it 2 now?) is located. They used to have onion rings and fried okra, but maybe DFW made them stop frying or something. The Naked Whiz
