I bought 3 of these in southern MO a few years back. They easily pick up 1 quart of nuts without stooping over by pressing the bottom on the nuts and they spring open and capture the nuts and close again. They came from an ACE hardware in Cape Girardeau and at the time they had a SKU # and ACE stocked them in their national warehouses.

I have since given away one and want to buy some more to give as gifts. While designed for picking up pecans, they also work great for acorns and hickory nuts.

I've gone to the search engine at the ACE website and tried things like:
nut picker-upper
nut harvester
pecan tool
etc etc etc with no avail.

I thought maybe some of you Southern eggers with pecan trees might know exactly what it is called. Thanks in advance!
