Spring Chicken,
How are you and the Spring Hen Doing? I went to bed for a few hours, but had to get up and check on all of you near the coast.
Only 8 members online - I've never seen so few.
I hope you come through this intact and safe.

Looks as though the eye will track very close to the 'coop'.

I've been watching the Weather Channel since 4:00am eastern and thought I'd see what was going on here. Not much I guess. I'm thinking about Mr. & Mrs. Chicken also. Hope they're managing ok. Sounds like all of Houston and surrounding areas are without power now. Mark

I to have been watching. Worked graveyads tonight and watched it come ashore on radar. Saying prayers for them and all the rest of our "flock" down there and the rest.

I got up at 4 to see if there was any word from any of our Texan's. Guess I will check out the weather channel. Just starting to get light here so they probably have another hour in the dark. Scarry!
-
I expect the radio silence from Spring Chicken and others is because those Texans on the coast have lost their electricity.
It's ironic that they are getting blasted so hard and, yet, here in central Texas I am going to have to run my sprinkler system today.
Best to all in the affected areas. -
Many have no cell phone service and there are probably a slew of land lines down too.
-
News reports are saying that Texting to a cell phone is the best way to contact someone....I tried it with my sister in Sugarland (SW of Houston)and it worked. They lost power at 9 9pm last night, but are safe. The Governor is still holding off on sending in all the first respponders as the back side of the storm is still hammering North Houston...about where the Coop is.

I hear ya!! As the old YOGIism goes, "The game isn't over until it's over".
