We got the aftermath of Gustav Wednesday night and Thursday.
110 S. High Street, Washington, IL reported 3.5" of rainfall from Wednesday night to Thursday night!
Curious how anybody else made out that got any precip from him?

My brother in Central Louisiana said they got over 20" of rain and numerous tornados. Lots of heavy flooding and distruction. Didn't make the news because they are way out past the boonies.
Now from what you're saying, YOUR water has to come down their way too.

Mark,
Over here in Dunlap to your West I dumped out 3.5" at 4:00 yesterday as I was afraid my 5" capacity gauge might overflow. Well by this morning it had another 1" so put me down for 4.5". I see in the paper this morning that Peoria's official record was only 2.8" - so go figure!Re-gasketing America one yard at a time. -
today my wife is telling the other moms that she got hit with 4 inches last night by tropical storm stikey. luckily, it only happens a couple times a year and passes quickly. :ermm:

So you're saying the storm struck twice? But seriously folks, what does a guy have to do to get some dry aging advice?

I'm in Indiana and I got 2.7 inches of much needed rain.It has cooled down from the high eighties to a high today of only 70 degrees. That'll save on the electric bill.

Over 6" from Tuesday afternoon through Thursday in the Branson, Mo area. One small tornado in the area too, but little damage.

I'm pretty sure that up here in the North Side (just north of 24, Washington) we saw at least that. Here's a good pic of my backyardlake :-)

Looks like my St. Louis-area rain gauge come Thursday night. Nothing too extreme in terms of wind or rain, just a nice, hard downpour all day. Kinda nice, actually.

my sump has hardly shut off
