I will say The Texas Road House is very good ,But I just dont know where to go for
the things I can do at home on the egg.
$10.00- $15.00 a plate its got ot be VERY VERY Good anymore to make me happy
Do I need help 12 step program ? or a food network map to find the really good joints

I totally agree! My wife and I split chicken and steak dinner from Texas Roadhouse and it was good, but it doesnt compare to the Egg!! Everyone at work is tired of hearing me talk about how good the egg is!

I totally agree. Went to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge this weekend. Had to leave my Egg at home. Foods just not the same. I wish I had known where Doug-123 was staying.

Dave,

Just keep cooking the foods you like on the BGE...everyone will get accustomed to the certain flavor of the food, and soon that food will become the reference. We still go out for food because the family enjoys the way that some places cook their food, or the atmosphere and change of pace--however, if I'm cooking, then I try to serve up something from the eggs. Plus, I like experimenting with different dishes and food which I don't normally cook. ABTs and fatties are good examples, for instance.

We were not ones to eat out much anyways but the eggs have made it worse. much worse. One thing we have done is started buying our beef and pork from a local farmer. Of course that really just makes it worse. LOL but it has to be really really good to go out and I hate to pay the bill to get better than we can do at home.

Boy that hamburger looks good. What kind of ice cream is that....mint....or pistachio? I love making home made ice cream. Unfortunately, when summer times rolls around, and I start making it....it usually takes me a couple of churns to remember what recipe I use that the kids like.
Restuarants???? What's that??

I was just discussing the exact same problem last night. Ever since I got my Green Egg I basically have to go to a fine dining establishment with plate costs of $25-$35 just to have something I consider okay to eat. The Egg has us spoiled on good food.

I've only done ABT's, chicken, burgers, steak, salmon and cobbler on my Mini and i'm spoiled. I don't know what will happen when I get my LG.
