I live in a small town 40 miles North of New Orleans, La.

I am the Southeast Regional Manager for a small international company that designs, builds, maintains, and upgrades gasoline vapor control units. I like to tell people I'm the reason gas prices are so high.

Just the man I need to ask! We have two large pieces of Plexiglas I had cut as inconspicuous gates to keep our dogs out of a couple rooms. Over the years they have gotten some minor scratches. How do I polish them? Thanks!

Nice thread. Interesting to see what other people do.

Born in Detroit. Followed my parents to San Diego - I was 10 at the time and didn't have much say in the matter. Stayed through college - dropped out in the early 70's and moved to rural northern CA. Taught myself to be a surveyor and got licensed. Taught myself to be a civil engineer and got registered. Retired as a City Public Works Director at 55 a few years ago and moved to Portland OR. Absolutely love it here.

Randy: I signed up to cook, waiting on final details from Nancy. Hopefully we will have a strong showing of our growing number of Chicago area eggers.
John from BGE has been doing a great job of setting up dealers around here.
I understand you and Dobiedad (Rodger ) have met before, can't wait to meet you personally as well.

I was born and raised in a very small farming community about 35 miles north of Kansas City.

After several years in law enforcement, a hitch in the Army and finishing grad school I settled with my wife in Buford, GA, about 25 miles NE of Atlanta. She is a true southern belle from South Carolina.

I am a co-owner of and chief operating officer for two inter-related businesses, one is in consumer finance and accounts receivable and the other is a law firm. I am not an attorney. My background is in database modeling, statistics, and forecasting. I guess that makes me a math geek.
  • This is so much fun!! Great to see that others have really interesting careers and lives.

I live in St Augustine, FL but am originally a New Englander. Most of my family still lives there. I'm married to a true southern gentleman from TN and we have a 20 year old son who is attending college but still lives at home. I work part time at a local Ace hardware store, which doesn't pay much but the employee benefits are awesome. (We are a BGE dealer ;) ) We own a rebar fabricating business, but I don't get much involved in that. My passion is breeding, training and showing amazing Arabian horses.

  • Born and raised in the New Orleans area. I am in commercial food service equipment sales since 1979. Intended it to be a summer job while going to dental school but fell in love with it and been working for the same owner for 29 years. I have three great kids, one in college, one junior and one freshman in high school and I have a incredible wife that allows me to be obsessed with saltwater fishing, baseball and cooking. We all really enjoy the live music scene and got involved with a record producing company that advances funding and produces records for artist, visit www.threadheads.org. We are also involved with a non-profit clinic for local musicians for medical and dental needs as well as a group for young musicians clinics to supply underpriveledged kids with instruments and lessons by local artist. Well gotta go lite the egg for burgers and brats. Love the thread.
