Info on thermometer!!???

Just wondered if anyone suggests a better thermometer? Looking to get a digital one or is the plain jane poke it it better? Any input would be great....thanks everyone

Do you mean the egg thermometer, remote thermometer or meat thermometer?

Meat thermomoter - only get a Theromworks Therompen about $98 refirbished for about 1/2 that.

Remote Thermometer Maverick ET-73 dual probe with alarms.

Egg thermometer Tru-Tel, when the one you have doesn't work any longer.

If you google thermoworks you will be taken to their website.

They will sell direct new or referbished. If there isn't much difference between the new or referebished, obviously get the new.

You can also get a new from forum member molyshark also available from alot of other sources. Fred's Music and BBQ offeres them at a discount also.

Just check around for prices.

The thermopen made a big difference in the way I cook.

Last fall the referb's were about $45 +- a little.

Then the price went up $20 or so.

Thinking out loud - I wonder if the referb's are actually new units or slightly used new units.
