Very cool.
I like that.

nice job on that!
how far to the three camps go under the plate setter? about an inch? -
The length on the bottom is 2" and the gap inbetween top and bottom is 1" and it has a slight taper to eliminate a pressure point when lifting.

Jimmy,
Great idea, easy to make. Great Man.

Not good right now in my normal grounds but the redfish are tearing it up. Trout are off because of water clarity. West winds move dirty water from the Atchafalaya east and dirty up the water in Dularge and Cocodrie area. Always ready to geaux though.
-
That's not a bad way to lift a plate setter when it's cold. If you don't want to get dirty, that is.
-
It really works great when it's hot also. I can set it on my table or on a trivet to do something and easily put it back on, easy peasy.

Looks good, but in the Swiss army knife tradition, can it be reversed to lift out the fire ring so a guy can put the grill right down close to the lava lump? Now that would be cool! Please post pics if your inventive streak come up with something.
Thanks

Nice idea with the chain. That's exactly what I've been looking for. Thanks for pic. I'll be bending metal soon.
Please don't make me use gloves!
