Saw the recipe on here recently and had to try it.

It took 41 minutes at 350 degrees

This is the first time I've ever made dessert of any kind on the BGE.

my wife didn't like mine.....said it was "too smoky".....blasphemy!!!!

here's the recipe again for those too lazy to search

    1-1/2 cups flour
    1 cup sugar
    1/4 cup cocoa
    1 tsp vanilla
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/3 cup oil
    1 tsp white vinegar
    1 tsp baking soda
    1 cup cold water

Mix all ingredients together until smooth. Grease and flour a loaf pan, and bake for 45 minutes at 350° (175°C). You can also add chocolate chips and/or nuts.

Thanks for reprinting the recipe. I was afraid someone would ask for it and I would have had to type it in and I can't type very fast.

GTHOM Cakes should not taste smoky, make sure your egg is stable and no visible smoke...when you bake your food will not be smoky, this will keep your wife happy.
    Cheers,Anthony
