Great results with Publix pre-made Italian Pizza dough. Big enough for 2 14" pies. Takes about 5 minutes for me to get each rolled after an hour letting it rise. Crust is mighty tasty. Cost is $1.78 per dough ball here in Augusta, GA.

I know I am a little bit off topic but making pizza dough is easy. It takes a little time to let dough rise and re-rise but the results are oh so good!

Share you recipe I am sure there are many who would like to see it.

If you have a pizza place by your house that you like their crust - call them - most a more than willing to sell you a ball or two - better and cheaper than those in the grocery store. Or maybe that's just something here in the Chicago area.

Since you're in the Chicago area, will you be attending Eggwego fest? -RP

I agree homemade is best but sometimes time is not there.

We have a chain of pizza stores called Bertucci in the northeast. They will sell the dough in a ball or stretched in a pizza box, same price. It's good stuff and I use it when I don't have time to make it.

I think publix dough is terrible. It tastes good, but stretches like rubber. Other than making my own going to a good local pizza place will get you very good dough. If that option is not available the Publix by my house sell Mama Marys. Tastes as good as publix without the rubber stretching. IMHO

I've got only 2 words for you...Mama Mary's..

I pick up mine at Trader Joe's.
The garlic and herb is awesome.
I heard that you can get some at the Publix bakery.

with the Publix dough. It is a bear to stretch one ball into a pie. I can't imagine cutting the ball in half and rolling out 2. I haven't been letting it rise any. Is that something I should be doing before cutting and rolling to make things easier?
