"Rusty Rooster" has one that is good, and I know he has taught it at some classes at corporate. If that is the one you are referring to it is very good. It's rich so you may want some cool whip or something with.

i have used this one with success.... pretty easy to do also

I made that yesterday and it was great! And, only three ingredients!
-
Did you follow the cooking instructions to a T or cooked on your egg?
-
What is your recipe and how?
-
The recipe is from Rusty Rooster.
2 cans of fruit w/syrup(not pie mix)
1 box of white cake mix
1 stick of butter,melted.
Pour fruit into pan, sprinkle cake mix over fruit, pour butter over cake mix. DO NOT STIR AT ANY TIME! Cook at 375F until golden brown. Enjoy!
side note: I made a large one yesterday at work, peach on one side, and fresh black berries on the other side. Next time I would add some type of juice to the blackberry side, it was a tad dry, the peach side was fine because the canned peaches are naturally wet. Have some ice cream or whipped cream ready! -
That sounds awesome, thanks bbig'um- JD

How large a pan did it take? I'm asking because it's going to be hard to move it to a larger or smaller pan if I guess wrong. -
Owner's manual??..you gotta owner's manual?..and you read it??.. :woohoo: :woohoo:

Use the peaches in "Light" syrup.

As long as the pan fits on the egg you'll be fine. It just may be deeper with a smaller pan. If I use a larger pan, I just add another can of fruit. You should be able to tell when you pour, say peaches, into the pan/D.O. if the bottom is covered and has enough fruit. Yesterday, I used a turkey pan because I was at work(oven), and it was thin, I used two cans of peaches and a quart of blackberries. You can adjust it as needed. If you can fit the two cans of fruit, I would! HTH.

This is my kind of recipe - three ingredients, no measuring, put it in the Egg and check it occasionally until it's done. We've been looking for a dessert we can cook on the Egg and take to a covered dish dinner. This sounds like a winner.
-
You'll like this. Most of the time you'll have your ingredients on hand. It does take a while, about an 1.5 hours. Once it starts to brown it goes quick. Peep in on it through the daisy wheel.

I do this recipe all the time in my 12" (6 qt) Dutch Oven. Might want to try sprinkling some cinnamon after adding the butter.
-
