DigiQ II Worth it?

Hey all, I am looking for a controller, and was just wondering if the DigiQ II was worth it. The bulk of my cooking is ribs, brisket, chicken and pizza with the occasional steak and burgers. I am looking to do the majority of brisket smokes overnight so something I could set and forget would be great. But are the controllers worth it?
Thanks
Bryan
Thanks

uneggquivicolly yes...I use mine ALL the time..short cooks..long cooks..anything 425 or less I fire up the digi and let it get my pit temp up to setpoint..almost never use the food thermo eggcept on long butt and brisket cooks..otherwise I use mine all the time on both my large and my small eggs..and looking for a way to justify another one!!..one of my best eggcessory purchases!..just my 2 cents

What is the longevity of the probes?
Can it work on any side EGG?
Any ideas of where to get it the cheapest?
Thanks,

Yeah, definitely understood on stoking the EGG. I was just thinking on those long cooks for stabilizing the temp.

This is the best temp controler I have ever used, you set it and for get it. The Barbecue guru people are very helpfull. I have 2

Go to barbecue guru .com and you see how to hookit to your egg. My probes look good after many cooks.

Yes, yes and yes. Perfect for briskets and butts, and I also use it for rib cooks to assure constant temperature.

I've only had mine about 6 mos, but no probe problems so far, I use mine on both my large and my small..I only bought the 4 cfm blower, which works great for the small and does pretty good on the large, but will probably buy a 10 cfm blower to add for use on my large.. as far as I know, you can use it on any size egg since it has an adjustable damper for adjusting the air flow..

The best part is when I do a low and slow cook I don't have to worry about losing the temperature. I can just set it and go, sleep, whatever. For example this past Thursday I put a butt on in the AM, went to Matthews to meet some eggers for lunch, ran errands all afternoon and never had to worry.

Did you get it from the mothership??

Well thanks for the help guys. I just ordered it along with the turbo grate, golf club, fan direct connecter, and some gloves.. Should make for some fun

Is your Egg worth it?
Is your time worth it?
Personally, I like my Stoker better than the Digi Q because I can control several smokers with only one Stoker, and I can monitor them from inside the house from my computer. I can also change the settings from my computer, too. -
> I can monitor them from inside the house from my computer
It will be a sad day when I get so da*n lazy that I can't tell one of the kids to go check the temp on the Egg. -
I had mine almost a year, Rain or Shine.

Enjoy your stuff--I really like using the DigiQ.

LMAO! Reminds me of a trick my father used to play on us. "How tall are you?" he would ask as we watched television. "Four foot 11" might have been the answer. "Really? Have you gotten that tall?" "Yep," we might reply with pride. "Stand up. Let me see how big you have grown." We'd stand up. "While you are up, could you go to the kitchen and get me a glass of water?"
We only fell for it a few times....The Naked Whiz -
You'll never be sorry. Great products and great people to work with.

Ross in Ventura - Did that zip lock over the blower restrict its ability to blow?
-
Can the Stoker go wireless or do I need to connect a cable to my wireless router?
-
it is wireless.

So please tell me, what package do I need to get this puppy up and running? The base package or do I upgrade to the bigger fan of the PitBull 25 cfm? It has an option for a hook. What is that?
I have the Lg GE
