Hard to fathom, but the lake north of Des Moines here went over the emergency spillway. Over one billion gallons of water per hour coming out of it and the lake is still rising.

I hope you folks are ok and not in harms way.

would love to. Not only is it flooding the city it is driving corn prices to record highs which means meat is going through the roof.

Thankfully far enough away. After the 93 floods and my wifes office being under 8 feet of water we stay away from lakes.
-
thanks. Fortunately far enough away from the downtown and lake area.

Yep. Just like Dr. Evil would say. One Billion.

An Interstate pipeline to move water from wet areas to dryer areas would help. It help the economy job wise and give relief to those locals prone to flooding and fill up lakes that are going dry. The Alaskian pipe line moves oil going somewhere???? I-85 & I-40 moves our goods from sea to shining sea. Why not move flood waters to the drought striken states. Pass to your pols. They can raise our taxes and steal em. I'am reminded of the ole C. C. C. and the TVA. Miles out.
