My wife bought me a medium Green Egg today for Fathers Day, I got it a wee bit early, but who cares.
My wife had to work this evening, but that didn't stop my son and I from firing that baby up and grilling a couple of thick ribeyes. My God! They were the best steaks we have ever ate. I love this thing.

Welcome to the cult. You'll be getting your green robe and spatula-shaped finger cymbals soon. :woohoo:
Is that Kirkwood, MO, by any chance? -
Welcome,
It only gets better from there.
GG -
Yes, we live in Kirkwood, MO. I saw one of your posts and noticed you lived here too. We live not far from the Magic House. How about you?
Dennis -
We're on the other side of town, behind West County Mall on Ballas. Maybe we'll cross paths one day at LeLu or Fire and Smoke.

Thanks for the welcome and I believe you, this thing is awesome.

Congrats and welcome. You will soon join the "I don't want to go eat anywhere because the egg does it so much better" club.

I believe it. Thanks for the welcome! -
About the only steak houses I can justify going to anymore are Kreis on Lindbergh and Citizen Kane's, just a stone's throw from your house. The rest, frankly, aren't as good as what I make on the Egg.

Welcome aboard. Be sure to take photos and post pics of your creations.
Glad to have you aboard. -
Let's get you signed up for the Springfield eggfest.

Welcome....you may find some helpful information on my website, linked below, and be sure to check out Naked Whiz's website for PLENTY of info...

There goes Wess, bragging about his cooks again
My main cook websites are WessB, Naked Whiz and T-Rex. Check them out as they not only have descriptions of the cook, but pictures as well. Whiz has ALOT of verbage that can not be consumed/absorbed in one day and it is all helpful. Pace yourself, summer is just beginning :cheer:
Welcome to the club, -
I just wanted to chime in and say hello and welcome to another fellow St. Louisan. I'm actually out in St. Charles county.
I've had my Egg since early March. The Egg and this forum have been nothing short of wonderful. -
Where do I find the addresses for these websites? I am dying to visit them.
Thanks,
Dennis -

The last one I posted - the Naked Whiz FAQ, I think this is some of the best 'required reading' for a new Egger.
Also, if you're looking to build a table for your Egg, the Whiz's site has great plans and a ton of pictures. I build mine based off his plans and I LOVE it. -
It feels great when the wife says, "All I really want tonight is for you to cook me something on the egg".
