chicken parts on BGE

Guys, tonight I cooked some chicken on the BGE and they turned out great. I had about half a fire ring of lump charcoal egg and the temps held strong around 300. The chicken came out pretty moist and tender and not BURNT for a damn change.. I used the platesetter for indirect heat. The fat just rendered away from the chicken but the chicken was still very moist. After the chicken was done, I pull the grate and srapped off the PS with a spatula to remove the drippings.... Is this the correct way to clean it? I just thought since it was still hot, it would be easier to clean. The BGE is still going and I will let it go unit the coals burn down.. I figure the heat will certain burn off that chicken fat in the bottom.
