Life Changing Discovery While Making "The Chicken"

Had the quarters cooked and the sauce made. Ready to wrap in foil. As usual, the roll of foil flopped out of the box and I had to fumble with it. While doing so, I happened to notice that on the ends of the box were tabs that could be pressed in to hold the roll in place. Does anyone know how long these have been there and WHY DIDN'T ANYONE TELL ME???

By the way, "The Chicken" was supurb.
