Jalapeno corer I found at Bed Bath and Beyond

I bet that really cut down on the prep time. Thanks for posting. Was the rib meat sauced? If so, how did the flavors mix?
Mike -
Mike, I used John Henery's Pecan Rub and the sauce was JH Slippery Hill BBQ Sauce nice and spicy,

Big fan of John Henry's rubs and sauces. In fact the brisket that I'm smoking today was rubbed down with John Henry's Texas Brisket Rub.

Here's another style that works well too. Note the serrated edges that makes quick and complete vein and seed removal in a jiffy.Re-gasketing America one yard at a time.

Paul,
Your right its good stuff!

I've usually used a grapefruit spoon, but this looks like an improvement.

I tried to find that one they did not have any.

Never ceases to amaze me..I was JUST having this discussion with my wife today..we got a new Williams & Sonoma catalog and they had some Jalapeno stands and was looking for a core tool..where did you get that RRP?? And can you core them from the top with that without cutting them in two?
-
I got it at Linens & Things. I'm an ABT boat kind of guy so I've never tried the end core. OTOH I wouldn't see why it wouldn't work. That end is 1.75" in length before the silver body so you would have to make 3 or 4 passes at coring.Re-gasketing America one yard at a time.

I have the same exact one. I got it at Linens n Things also. I think it was about $6.
They also carry them on Amazon.com -
Hmmm...haven't seen one of those. I usually use a grapefruit spoon (the kind that is serrated on the edges).
