CI from Camp Chef or Sante

Does anyone own any CI products by Camp Chef (standard CI) or Sante (enamel)? I caught a show yesterday on the RFD channel called http://www.rfdtv.com/shows/cowboy_flavor.asp Cowboy Flavor. He was using the deluxe DO (basically a double dutch) and it looked great. Both the lid and pot have feet. Just wondering if anyone has used the product.

I don't have any Camp Chef, always liked the lodge stuff. But it looks pretty good, at $60.00 for the 12in. it might be worth a try.

It seemed to work great for this guy. He cooked biscuits in the DO. He had it on an open fire (all he was cooking on) and placed hot coals on the lid. He cooked up some nice looking herb biscuits (sprinkled with Tarragon). I like the fact that the lid would make a nice handle free skillet.
I have two lodges, but I think I'll have to check on of these out.

You watched "Cowboy Flavor" and the question you came away with is, "I wonder if Camp Chef makes a good product." The question I always come away with is, "Why does that guy have that stupid mustache and has he ever poked an eye out with it?"

In any event, I have a Camp Chef dutch oven and I like it a lot. They make a quality product.

I don't have a Lodge, but I belong to a Dutch Oven group and many people have both Lodge and Camp Chef. The two brands seem to be considered similar in terms of quality. Usually, the people I speak with recommend staying away from the noname cast iron products manufactured in China.

LOL, actually I was thinking about that. I was wondering if his wife had ever been impaled during a cooking session. NOt only does she have to watch out for the knives...Although it seems to be contained under that huge hat brim. :laugh:

My wife went to the "home show" in Chicago last month and ordered me this one, http://www.santecookware.com/catalog/item/2/8/0/PSDO12/43/8+Qt.+Dutch+Oven+with+Lid.html , as she had heard me talking about wanting a Pre-seasoned DO and could get it for whole sale price ($35). Haven't received it yet but I'm anxious to get my hands on it.
