Is the firebox supposed to be a little wobbly? It doesn't sit flush and doesn't feel stable inside. Is that normal?

I got it put together yesterday. I'm about to do my first cook tonight :) I just wanted to make sure it was normal before I cooked on it.

Not a problem, just remember to keep the temps below 400 or so for the first few cooks.Don't hesitate to ask any ???s.There is always someone here to answer.Enjoy your new egg. :woohoo:

I've always been able to correct this problem by jiggling and, otherwise, fiddling around with the firebox until it seats properly. I don't know that I'd call this normal-it's supposed to sit flush and not rock and roll :cheer:

Why not take the firebox out and set it on a surface you know to be flat, probably a counter or table? If it sits flat, check the bottom of your Egg with a small straightedge like a metal ruler. Then you'll know which one, or both, are out of whack. If it's significant, talk to your dealer.

    Tuck,

My SBGE firebox has a bit of a wobble to it, but not the LBGE. It cooks like a champ, too! Welcome to the EggNation, too!
