I believe it's time to pick up a Food Saver so I can freeze up things to reheat during the week. Now the question is which model to pick up? And which model makes the most economic sense. Any feedback from the community...?

That v224 looks very inviting, but I will watch what the powers that be say. Miles out.

I have the FoodSaver Professional III Pus.
I picked it up new from a seller on Ebay for $150.00.
So far very happy. I have seen ads on TV about not buying the cheap models because the vacume power was low and to only buy the high end ones and show them crushing a soda can. Mine is almost a year old and will smash a can flat. Had to try after wathing commercial on TV one night. See what bad TV will make you do...Some of the high end models are over $500.00. That's almost another Egg.

I have the v2460 and am really happy with it.

I have a pro II and love it...one button operation..only had a problem once and that was because it got wet ...got a Pro III to replace it but haven't had the need yet...the II recovered fine and is still going strong..the III is still in the box....there are MANY other uses other than just freezing things..

UMMMMM......want to sell it?

Might consider it but shipping would not be very cheap...it's a big box.....drop me an E and we can discuss it off of the forum..

I just bought a food saver and have not used it yet
Kroger had it on sale for 20.54 and the bags...2 rolls 11" x 18' for 2.26
I spent 30.00 total for it all...if it seals all the Pulled Pork I do then I throw it out it will be worth
the 30 bucks I spent

I went Prosumer, via vacmesh, Pro-2300.
14/15" wide, built to last, great customer service.
I buy rolls of plastic and cut as needed or buy bulk bags from them.

Don't get the V1080.
It doesn't have a cutter.
I hate it.
