Table Finally Completed

Finally it's done! Finished last Sunday and fired up a batch of Chili. The table took on a bit of a nautical feel. Now off to FL Eggfest to pick up the new addition. Ummm, more work.

Great looking table, it's nice to see people are still thinking out of the box. I am also looking forward to the Fest on meeting everyone and also picking up my new toy also. What did you use to the table top, I like the way it looks. Awesome job see ya at the fest.

Thanks, yes I used a trailer lift to make it easier to lift the end of the egg nest. The weight made if difficult to maneuver by hand. I also couldn't find any casters that would fit the required height & handle the weight.

It's a standard trailer lift/jack. I purchased longer U bolts to fit the required wood depth. If you want to move it you jack it up and roll it to the destination. To make it stationary simply retract the jack.

I lucked out on the table top. I picked up some cabinet covering material at Lowe's. It was a solid piece that was 24 x 48. That kept me from using the slats to make the top. I put quarter round strips on both sides to hold in the marine Star Board (24 x 24). A little paint and three coats of sealer and it's done.
