How Much Would You Pay??

Just dropped off a template to a friend of mine to make a stainless surface for my BGE table. The steel is restaurant quality stainless steel 308. outside dim. are 28" x 42" and he will trim and cut the circle with hinge cutout with plasma cutter. Problem is he wont take any money as he has a machine shop in his garage ( builds race cars on the side ) and loves to tinker. Since he wont take cash the question is what to EGG for him & his wife and how much to make me feel better. He's a cooker but not an egger (yet) on his home built grills. He said the stainless is coming from the scrap pile but I can't accept free. What would you do???
I'll post pic's when done. Also any ideas for tools to keep him busy??
Thanks

Does he like brisket, pulled pork or ribs? Have you got a vacuum sealer?

No brainer as far as I am concerned..at least one lo n slo butt pulled and ready to eat, a few fatties to snack on during the week..and maybe some smoked cheese to eat on for the next few weeks... :woohoo: :woohoo:

Buy him a Mini --
And cook the first steaks on it for him!

I'd guess the metal is worth $100 itself, plus his time.
What could be better compensation than inviting him over for some Egged filets or Porterhouses? -
Hey what about some gator    Just joking. I would say a good meal off the Egg and then some butt pulled and vac sealed to send home with him for whatever he wants to do with it later.

Perfect. Remember to post pics!

Thanks!! already have the makings for ABT's & Fatties on hand ( as he's never made them ) Also told him tonight about Pizza. While not an egger he has made some good cooks, but hard to Imagine how good he could be with the right tool / EGG.

Here's 'nuther suggestion...
-- Bring your Egg to his backyard
-- Spatchcock two chickens, and season identically
-- Cook one on his gasser...
-- 'tother on your egg.
Then, have him do a blind taste test...
THEN, give him a Mini!

3 racks of ribs, a filet of smoked salmon & a bottle of his favorite beverage.

Exactly what I was going to suggest. The fabrication alone would cost the price of a mini, even though they are quite a bit higher than they used to be here in FL. Add in the material, it's a pretty good trade, plus creates a future egging buddy.!
