Ron Costello,
The stores that sell the BGE should have BGE lump.
-
The Naked Whiz lump review seems to state that the Royal Oak is exactly the same stuff as the BGE brand. I'm still a newbie so I'm still on the 2nd bag of BGE lump that the dealer GAVE me along with a bunch of other goodies when I bought my XL. Another great reason to buy from a dealer. Anyway, is Royal Oak the same as BGE?

Ron Costello,
go to the new forum link at top of the old forum you have more answers there. lowes and home depot often have cowboy there is a place on lehigh ave in the city that has huphreys and freds music and bbq in shillington does as well i am not a wal mart shopper but others post about buying there, wegmans has their own brand which is ok but the warrington store was out yesterday. and your egg dealer will have bge brand let me know if you need more help
-
Pretty much.
I've read that BGE pays Royal Oak a premium to get the pick of the lump. If that is true, and from what I have seen it appears it may be, then BGE lump would be Royal Oak Prime.
If you don't mind a drive, I believe Wicked Good is sold about an hour's drive from you. Might be worth it if you pick up severak bags.
Ace Hardware sells a natural hardwood lump that isn't bad. -
