Habenero ABT's with chorizo

This was my appetizer of choice while my buddies were waiting for the chicken breast and rib-eyes to come off. I also did some regular jalepenos stuffed with chorizo sausage. I got the sausge fresh from a local hispanic market. I follwed the standard recipe other than that. The habeneros were a big hit and quite hot. They are lethal if you leave a bit of the seed pod in the pepper. I will do these again for sure but ice cold beverages are required for this treat. One day I plan to adventure into posting pictures but I haven't taken the time to learn that skill just yet.

I have always thought about using Habs but never had the courage to make them.

Today is worse than yesterday in some ways!

I really enjoyed them with a cold beer. They are hot but not unbearable. With that said I've been accused of having no taste buds. I used dizzy dust on some and firewalk on some. I liked the sweeter ones better because it was a nice compliment to the heat of the pepper.

we did crab and cream cheese stuffed jalapeno and habanero ABTs for the stupor bowl.
maybe a dozen jalapenos, halved and stuffed with cream cheese (mixed with crab), with lump crab on top, and wrapped in thin bacon. damn good, and a good way to scratch the ABT itch when you don't have pulled pork to stuff them with.
did maybe 6 habaneros. the normal way to enjoy them (for us) is to eat 8 or 10 of the jalapenos. by then, the tongue has chilled out a bit, and the habaneros aren't so lethal. yesterday, though, we ate them right away, and sat there staring at each other tryna be cool and literally not sweat. hahaha my wife is the hot-food champ, and still she was regretting the habanero.ed egli avea del cul fatto trombetta -Dante -
