If all else fails, roll your own out of bulk sausage. Follow my signature link and scroll down to the SAUSAGE section.

Any good quality breakfast sausage will work. You choose the flavor and spice or stuff accordingly. They are great! Especially with a slice of smoked cheese. Good eats! Janet

Did them bunch last summer. Haven't tried them since. Thanks for the reminder. On the grocery list for Loblaws this Saturday.

Simple. Buy ground pork frozen or fresh. Add a bit of stuff; whatever you like (ground veal, lamb, pepper, hot peppers, nuts, spices, dried tomatoes, etc...). With about 1 pound of it out flat, add cheese or peppers at this stage, roll it up, sprinkle on some rub, wrap it in plastic, set it in the fridge, bbq for about 2 hours indirect when you have the egg going for any other reason, let rest, cut into slices and enjoy.

Costco sometimes has pre-made, flavoured pork sausage in rolls in the freezer section in their Ottawa store. Haven't tried them yet and haven't seen them since last summer.

OTOBIZ, it's just any type of ground sausage in a 1-lb package. If you really cannot find a roll (which I just cannot imagine) take a pound (or more if desired) of any ground sausage (turkey, chicken, pork, beef, venison) and shape into a roll about 2 inches in diameter. Season liberally with your favorite rub on the outside. Wrap in Saran wrap and then roll it on a counter top to get it to a more uniform shape. Chill it well (30 minutes or so in a freezer will not hurt.) and then cook. [p]When done, slice into biscuit size rounds and you are in for a treat.
