I've seen the site that shows folks who have registered. I'm curious who's planning on going to the Fla. Fest? And what are you cookin'?

Lady egret and I are going to be there! I wish the webmaster of that site had included the 'forum handles' for those coming. That's a very important piece of info that we all relate to......
I'm going to cook a half dozen ABT's to feed the masses! :woohoo:
I'll probably have along some smoked cheese and bourbon-maple ham just in case. Maybe even some 'Cow Lickin' Chili'....... -
We're going. And bringing a friend from Jacksonville.
We're cooking something Chickenee, but I may make some breakfast too. Just depends on how much rum they have in Florida and if the park allows it.

Rum??! Half the population of Florida is Cuban. They got rum galore and the park definitely allows it.....half of the park rangers are Cuban too! :woohoo:
I envy you with that huge karma of yours! -
Oh yea... I forgot about the Cubans. Yes, there will be plenty of rum to be had and I'll give it the old high school try to have as much of it as I can.
As for my Karma being high, I suppose it has something to do with my nightly reports. Probably sympathy votes for my drippy faucet.

I went to the one in 2005. Had a great time, won me a cast iron grill, cooked up some chikkie thighs, met a lot of real fine folks, and froze my a$$ off. It looks like it's getting pretty big and bringing the rich and famous now. I'm thinking it's about time to go to another one, but I'll stay in a motel this time.
-
Is that his Karma, or is he just happy to talk to you? Haha.
BTW, that's really a good suggestion about including the handles. I'm sure with all the effort they've been putting toward getting this fest together, it must've been an oversite. I'm looking forward to seeing you and Lady Egret there! -
Glad to hear you're gonna make it. Any idea what you're gonna cook?
-
What kind of rum are planning on smuggling in?
-
6 ABTS again huh? Sounds like you are gonna do a double batch.
 -
Wife & I are going. If The Bayhill Pro Am is not on Wednesday I'll be able to bring some brisket for the meet & greet. This is my 1'st fest, don't plan on cooking Saturday but look forward to meeting everyone & learning the secret handshake :P .
-
 You're a funny fellow, Bobby! I'm gonna 'burn' yours..........yeah, like I usually do!
-
I'll be there with the family, (wife and 2 kids). I'm thinkin' about making some baked beans that's been around our family a while. We call 'em "Judy's Block Party Beans", in honor of my sister.
-
I am going to be there with 3-4 adults and 3-4 little ones. See you'all soon. 55 days and counting!
-
I just noticed, the website now includes our forum handles.
-
I'll be there with my sweetie and about 6 friends. Not sure of the cook yet.
-
Any oyster shooters this year by chance?
-
We will be there. Attended in 06 but missed last year. This is one of the great settings for a fest. Vickie and I are planing on cooking this year--meatball subs, gourmet pizzas, and one of her deserts--don't know which one.

Not this year. Gonna try to do Waldorf, though.
-
That sounds great! I'm looking forward to meeting yall!
-
Molly, you will be missed! I've heard so many nice things about you! You didn't get roped into another family vacation did you?
-
Have a bunch of guests this year so it won't happen--Besides I thought you were in charge of Margaritas this year--hehe See you soon. Richard
-
The wife and I will be there if I don't get sick again like last year. This is our first one so we figure we check it out and see what’s involved in cooking. We are staying at the hotel. Is there anything we should bring.
PBM -
You will have a great time. The site s in a wooded park and takes place under a nice pavilion with picnic tables and benches but I would bring a couple of folding chairs. It's sometimes nice to have a softer chair.

You guys need to get registered
-
Not an oversight...just hadn't finalized all the tweaks yet...they're there now. Looking forward to meeting you.
-
Forum handles are there now...just trying to get the pages up so folks could register. Figured I could finalize some things once we were up and running. See you guys soon.
-
Thanks Larry. Sounds like I soft spot is better. LOL..

It was worth a try. I look forward to seeing you there. And who knows, I may have some Patron and mix tucked away somewhere.
-
I'm making it with the family. This is my first so it should be fun.
