I was typing a message that I had spent quite a bit of time editing. I clicked away from this page. I went looking for the correct spelling of a members name and when I went back to complete typing the message it was gone. I had not yet posted so I figured back button use would be OK. Is this a "forum" thing that can be corrected? Or is it the way it's going to be?

Also, Is there a place where you can see a members profile when they are not online?

Thanks,

E

I thought I have had that happen also, but when it returned from the new alternative task the screen had scrolled up, but my composition was still there. Try a test to see, but I was amazed...after banging my head against the wall!

Otherwise you might want to compose elsewhere and then cut & paste - my server hiccups now and then and I seem to time out often on the board.

I tried it and it still gets cleared. Maybe it is a setting on my end. I don;t know.

    Eggecutioner,

For now, I'd suggest using a separate tab to visit profiles, or anything else, while composing a message.

You can "Control-click" a link, or, "Alt-Enter" when typing a url, to open a new tab in IE7 and FireFox. Use the "Command" key on a Mac with Safari.

No, you must be online to view member profiles on the new site. This is a privacy feature which prevents SPAMMers from getting any information about our members -- including your email address. In fact, even members will get your email address only if you reply to an email they send via the site.
