Naan (thick Indian flat bread)

My cute girlfriend and I are trying to make a big indian feast tonight, and we wanted to use my BGE (large) for making naan, (thick indian flat bread similar to pita), hoping the BGE could mimic the tandoori oven. Anyone have any suggestions? Any experience in similar culinary adventures?[p]thanks!

Naan is baked on the side of a tandoori, stuck to the side and the tandoor usually has no meat grease buildup. I think you could bake them on pizza stones, preheated, however.

There was a naan recipe posted on October 27, 2000 by Brad Davidson that was really eggcellent - he made it at EGGtoberfest - but it seems to have disappeared. Does anyone still have it?

esbaird,[p]We do Naan on a hearth setup and get good results. My cookers are way toooo dirty to slap the dough on the side of the cooker.[p]
[p]I usually do 10 breads at a time and use several toppings. [p]
