AuntieEgger,[p]That looks great! I have been looking for a receipe that I could use to break in my dutch oven. Would you mind posting it? [p]Thanks,

AuntieEgger’s Chicken Meat Ball Stew[p]2 lbs Ground Chicken (can use Ground Turkey if you want)
1 Large egg
1 Large onion
Salt
Sage
Cracker Crumbs[p]Put the egg and onion in the blender if you don’t have a blender just add the egg and chopped up onion to your Ground meat. (I like to blend these together to make an even onion flavor through out the meat. Add this to your meat.[p]Add Salt and Sage to the Ground Chicken egg and onion mixture.
I don’t know how much sage I put in ,, I just sprinkle it in until I get a ‘mild smell’ of sage throughout the meat mixture. You don’t want to put to much sage in.[p]Add the Cracker Crumbs to absorb the moisture and form into small meatballs.
Brown the outside of the meatballs in a frying pan on the stove in butter/oil.[p]Add the meatballs and Carrots to your Dutch oven [p]Liquid
Add 2 Lipton Onion flavor packets and fill your pot with boiling water. [p]Dome temp at 375F and smoked with pecan wood.
Boil for an hour then add potatoes ,, you may have to add more boiling water when you add your potatoes. [p]Total cook was 11/2 hours. [p]

YB,
It is essentially the recipe by QBabe below. Seer is done in the po on the stove. I then used beer and lots of garlic and onions during the first step. Added mushrooms during the last 30 minutes.[p]Quite tasty.[p]Mike
