Got these 8" casters from Harbor Freight, the rears came from Home Depot.
[p]I had to carve out some slots for the rear hinge, otherwise it sat way too high (cause I screwed up the height of the shelf).
But all in all, I'm proud of it.
Thanks Whiz, you're plans and photos were tops! Now bring on the turkey!!!

Lawn Ranger, Thanks. Did you notice two of your tools on the bottom shelf? Wouldn't be without them.

Very nice looking table! I hope mine will look that good when I get around to building it...

The Naked Whiz,
You more than helped, you made it possible. But how did you get your egg down so far into the circle, without having to cut out for the hinge? Did I really mis-measure?
-
FlaMike,
I don't have the spring hinge. I have the auto-lock hinge. The autolock hinge doesn't go down so far, so you can lower the Egg about 2 inches.[p]TNW

FlaMike,
Well, thanks, My Friend.

The Naked Whiz,
I knew there had to be a catch to it! Thanks

Great job Mike you should be proud of it. You do need a beer opener though.[p]I screwed mine up in the same way, I have yet to cut out slots to lower it.
-
duckegg,
WoW!, yours is sooo pretty. Really. Nice work.
I literally finished mine this morning, haven't added the beer opener or hooks or anything yet.
But they'll be coming. Thanks again for the kind words.

FlaMike,
Great looking table! Is that oak boards?? What kind of finish did yiu apply on it??
-
GenesGrill,
Yes 1x4 red oak, the legs are just pine 2x4's. Finished with minwax spar clear semi-gloss urethane. 3 coats on tops, 2-3 on underneath and vertical sides. No stain. Should last in this Fla humidity. It's protected overhead from most rain.

FlaMike,
I think you had to cut out for the hinge because you went too low when you recessed the stone in the lower shelf.. If the stone was flush with the adjacent wood., it looks like you would've picked up an inch and that might have been enough for the hinges to clear. [p]You've adjusted for it, it works and it looks GREAT![p]Nice Job!

Flashback Bob,
Thanks for the compliment!
The original idea for the recessed area actually put the brick stones 1/2 inch above the planks. Adding the egg feet (3/4") raised the egg perfectly to clear the hinges. But, it looked terrible, being too high above the cut-out. So I lowered it down by using 2 floor tiles instead. TNW's plans were for his egg which has the old-style hinge without the modern springs. Sits lower. I had no choice but to start cutting. Fortunately it worked out, and I love it!
Thanks again.
