  • Beast,
yep, apple or cherry, chips or chunks, whatever you have will work fine.[p]i've got a good two handfuls of cherry chips on right now 1:45 into a turkey breast and it's smelling fine!

    Rick's Tropical Delight,
I normally don't open your posts that link to photos.
You are killing me when I'm stuck at work with no food. LOL
What was in the rub on the top photo. (small chunks of some kind of spice) Man does that look good.

  • Rick's Tropical Delight,
What is that on the plate with the turkey? Looks like some type of bread????

  • Photo Egg,
i think those are chopped hazel nuts... i put em on there after a butter baste

  • Beast,
we're still talking about turkey breast now, right?[p]i smoke them at 250-270 indirect, about 4:30 for a 10 pound breast, 3:30 for a 7 pound.[p]pull it at 160 internal, no matter what the time or dome temp

    Beast,
Apple is primarily all i use on poultry. i have used both chunks and chips. i prefer chunks but no noticable difference to me. good luck and enjoy
