OK - OK, I give up. I just can't figure out what the loop/hook is
designed for at the handle end of the ash tool. If it was straight, I guess it would be to hang the ash tool on a nail or 'what ever!'
But being that the hook/loop is at a right angle to the the rest of the tool, well it is throwing me for a loop and I'm hooked.
What is this all about? Help me, I won't be able to sleep at night
until I get a logical answer to this most perplexing design problem.
thx, in advance Tio Art

Tio Art, "In the days of old and men were bold and the women weren't..." oooops! wrong answer! The end was designed to straighten the legs of the old style hinges (still in use in the small and mini!

    RRP,
Gosh, you mean I found another use for the dern thing? It works great to depress the lock on the hinge to put the dome down too.
Also great to thump small children on the noggin when they become unruly...or old guys for that matter.
Have FUN all of you headed to Eggtoberfest![p]Carey

    Tio Art,
I don't know what the specific design intention was, but it sure comes in handy for hooking and lifting a hot daisy wheel off of the dome, a feat that would be dificult were the hook not at a right angle.

    Tio Art,
You can scrape Mud Dobber (aka. Wasps) nests down while waiting around during dwell time. :0
