tongs

Over the years I've seen maybe 50 types of bbq tongs, but never anything I like as much as my cheapy Ekco scissors-type tong. But it's about to fall apart. I like something that I can leverage and pick up something really heavy - like a 5 lb. roast, which I can do with the Ekco, but not the expensive ones I've seen and tried. What do the eggsperts say? electric don,[p]I use silicone gloves or bear claws to pick up large pieces - like butts and briskets.[p]I use cheap metal salad serving tongs for steaks and smaller foods.
  • electric don,
    Not an eggspert but……
I just picked bought a chicken and roast lifter at the dollar store!!! These are not tongs but two two prongs fork things that you stab in each side and lift but the price was right and they’ll work just fine. [p]AuntieEgger[p]
