Quick after work cooks

Last night I fired up the Egg for hot dogs. I had plenty of leftover lump from the previous cook so I just used that. There were no VOCs, it heated up pretty quickly and I was cooking at 450 in maybe 10 or 15 minutes![p]The big revelation for me was that I could cook other stuff too, just as long as I've got a firebox with enough leftover lump and I'm cooking something at 450 or less. the time it takes to get from start to cook was a fraction of the usual time.

Flashback Bob,
lots of things you can do quickly with a little left over lump ...[p]hot dogs
sausages
bonesless chicken breasts
fish filets
beef that you wouldn't otherwise t-rex like flank steak/skirt steak/hanger steak
shrimp[p]all of these (and more) can be done in less than 30 minutes from lighting the egg/prepping food/cooking food/serving food . ..
