Sparky,
This one is popular.[p]Sauce, BBQ, Vinegar, Pork, GrillMeister
This is a Vinegar based sauce for Pulled Pork.
[p]INGREDIENTS:
1 cup cider vinegar
2 Tbs Sea Salt
1 Tbs Turbinado Sugar
1/2 tsp Ground Chipotle - McCormicks
4 Dried Cayenne peppers, split & stemmed
Procedure:
1 Mix all ingredients together. Let stand as long as possible, at least ½ a day, but the longer the better. It's best used in plastic "Ketchup Style" squirt bottle you can pickup at the grocery store for about a buck.

Richard,
I don't have ground chipolte.
Butt's are at 185 so I can't go get any.
Thanks for responding..[p]Bill

Sparky,
Do you have any chipotle in adobo (sauce), Tabasco any spicy cayenne? several hot items will work in the short term
-
Richard,
Might have some pepper flakes and cayane powder.
I haven't done hot in a while. (The better half likes mild)[p]Bill

Sparky,[p]Ground chipotle is not easy to find unless you have a hispanic store and then most only carry the whole dried. I grind my own, but here is a good source for lots of spices. Careful Cayenne gets hot real fast if too much used.

Sparky,[p]My in-laws live in South Carolina and the vinegar sauce they use on pulled pork is real simple but real good:[p]Equal parts white vinegar and Frank's Red Hot - 1 cup each
1 tablespoon of Kitchen Bouquet
Salt
Pepper[p]That's it. May not be traditional but they have used it in their family for a long time. It is quite good for dipping PP or on sandwiches.

Morro Bay Rich,[p]Thanks for the site with so many great sounding sauces..[p]Bill

Sparky,
Here's one (this is one someone sent me and those notes are not mine):[p]To make an authentic NC style barbeque sauce combine the following
ingredients in a jar with a tight-fitting lid:
1C white wine vinegar
1C cider vinegar
2T brown sugar
1/2 T ground cayenne pepper
1/2 T hot pepper sauce (Tabasco)
1 t salt
1 t ground black pepper[p]Try to make it a day ahead. Then to serve, heat and add ketchup to
taste. Eastern NC style uses no ketchup, but that is too vinegarry
for my clan. Western NC style adds the ketchup. Or you can use
standard bottled barbeque sauce (Texas style?) as two of my kids did.[p]And here's another:[p]This is a Vinegar based sauce for Pulled Pork.
Ingredients:
• 1 Cup cider vinegar
• 2 Tbs Sea Salt
• 1 Tbs Turbinado Sugar
• ½ tsp Ground Chipotle - McCormicks
• 4 Dried Cayenne peppers, split & stemmed [p]
Preparation Directions:
• Mix all ingredients together. Let stand as long as possible, at least ½ a day, but the longer the better. It's best used in plastic "Ketchup Style" squirt bottle you can pickup at the grocery store for about a buck. [p]
