Stuffed hamburgers???

I saw a recipe a few weeks back on this site. It was for stuffed hamburgers. I tried the archive but I don't see it. Does anybody have that recipe? In seems like it was stuffed with grilled onions, bacon bits & cheese. Am I missing any details?[p]Kim Youngblood

    We used to call them Lumberjacks and you can put anything in them. We would roll out the hamburger meat like a pie crust. Then everyone would put their ingredients on one half (e.g. mushrooms, cheese, mustard, ketchup, onions, etc.). You would flip it over like a calzone and then onto the grill.[p]Generally we got carried away and made them too big for a bun. But they were grwat nonetheless.

    I made those a couple of weeks ago. I used a ground skirt steak, about 1 lb, made 6 somewhat thin patties. I then, fried and crumbled the bacon, and sauteed some diced red onions. I put the American cheese on the pattie, then the bacon and onions, and then the other pattie. I kinda pinched the edges together so as to minimize the cheese dripping out. I don't remember the temp I grilled at (cause I was just so excited to be doing this by myself).
