Cast Iron Grid For Large BGE

Does this grid need to be seasoned and is one side better to cook on the the other? Sounds like a stupid question but like my teachers always said the only stupid question is the one you don't ask.

    The flat side is more for tender products like fish. The other side will give you better grill marks. I don't think it really matters that much though.

  • Chixwing,We cook with cast iron all the time. I did not season the cast iron grill for our large BGE and have had no problems. After we cook we do not clean it until we fire up the egg again and we never wash it just brush it when it is hot.
