A short reminder to check the feet under your egg (if you're using them). After a long winter, lots of cooks in the dark, you might not have noticed that they have been "walking" out from under your egg. So, to prevent some surprises and keep that heart rate under control, take a minute to push them back in...[p]Happy Eggin'!

chuckls,
At the risk of sounding "dumb" why and how do they "walk" out from un the egg?

Arlene,[p] If the bolts are not tight the weigh of the egg can make them spread out.[p] The bolts can loosen just buy moving the egg around.

Bolts? What bolts are you referring to? I thought the three feet simply sit under the egg. Uh, it just occurred to me you may be referring to the metal stand. I mounted my BGE in a wood stand and placed the ceramic feet under it.[p]BTW, I cooked my first meal on the egg today. Pork chops and wieners. The chops were a little over cooked yet just barely browned enough. I'm guessing they were not thick enough (only about 1/2" thick).[p]Paul
