Thanks so much to each and every one of you who took the time to respond to my Prime Rib question. We followed pretty much what your methods suggested. And to make sure we knew exactly what we were doing, we invited a few friends over last night, told them that they were going to be taste testers, and proceeded to do a trial run on a roast. We bought a 4.5 pounder (without the bone), cooked it at 300 degrees for 1 hour and 45 minutes -- until the center temperature was 145 -- and tented for 15 minutes. It was fabulous! Now, if only we can have that kind of lucky today when we host both of our families for a Mother's Day luncheon! Thanks again for your expert advice...
