Hello to all I have started the Southbeach diet and have a bag of Raw almonds I was thinking of smoking any help would be great.

  • Gene613,[p]I've used a chilli sauce/rub combination on pecans and macadamias with a lot of success - it should work on almonds. Here's a link to the recipe.

  • Gene613,
You will find the egg a good friend when it comes to the South Beach Diet. It greatly helped me the first time I went on the diet and I am currently on South Beach again due to all the food I seem to consume because of the egg. While on the South Beach I have made burgers, pork, chicken, chili and Canadian Bacon along with many other delicious South Beach food on the egg. The smokey flavor that the egg imparts to the food really helps. Then again constantly reading this board and seeing pulled pork, pizza, briskets and fatties has really helped to strengthened my will power (RIGHT!!) Good luck on the diet man.

Everyday is Saturday and tomorrow is always Sunday.

<p />Gene613,[p]Here's the recipe I use, the almonds hold on to the sprinkles really good, and there's a secret ingredient!
