Between the forum and all the folks aboard,[p]and the egg, which we've all come to depend on, I just smile every now and then about how lucky we are.[p]And just this week, [p]some of the best baby backs I've had, and right off our own egg... yum![p]070218Ribs1.jpg[p][p]and then, last night, a couple of pork sirloins that had a wonderful smoke ring, moist, to die for tender... and my favorite garlic/ginger/HS(tm)peppers/rub and garlic-pepper-cider injection.[p]070223Loins1.jpg[p]
could life be better? Well, yeah, I could afford the $130 18 year-old Glenmorangie I saw at the liquor store today...[p]yours aye, HS[p]

    HolySmokes,
I feel the same. Just pulled off the best seafood pie I ever had, better than the Brick Ally Pub's in Newport R.I. I'm constantly amazed at how well the egg does its thing. We had inexpensive wine with the meal, and it was good. Lucky is what I am, and thankful.
    Thank you Big Green Egg!

  • HolySmokes,
Yep. I am definitely blessed and have so much to be thankful. These ribs notwithstanding...

HolySmokes,[p]Nice Post! I agree with you... some of the finest and talented people I know post to this board. In fact, bbq folks in general are a pretty generous and fun loving bunch and I feel blessed to be part of it.[p]Pretty pictures, Dugal![p]john
  • WooDoggies,[p]tnx, John.[p]Those are from the wife's new Xmas camera, a Casio 7+MP ex-s770. This thing is so small I have to be really careful operating it, but it takes nice photos and fits her fine.
Like many, this has a 'best shot' feature with multiple pre-sets (like portrait, landscape, etc.) and once I saw this had a setting for "Food", I said !yes, a bge camera. LOL[p]Dugal
