What are some of the things you die hards would not do with out? That your egg just needs? Or you to use it? Just some hints for us newbies

a plate setter. ..i probably use one for upwards of 60% of my cooks. .. yes, you can do the same thing with extra grids, and firebricks, etc. ...but the plate setter is designed for the egg and works great. . .[p]lawn ranger tools and handles give your egg great karma ...[p]my mapp torch. ..nothing lights the egg easier . .[p]oh yea, a second egg!!

1. Silicone oven mits
2. Billy bar grid cleaning tool
3. extended rack, homemade or store bought
4. MAPP torch (pegged already!)and safety glasses of course
5. Ash tool and bucket
6. beer opener
7. storage box for lump
8. grill light, if you don't have lights on your cooking area
9. pizza stone
10. beer cooler[p]Hope this helps and I'm sure someone else will think of something I missed.

Welcome to the family. I would start out with a platesetter and ash tool and do a few cooks and you will figure out what you need, also go to dizzypigbbq.com check out thier rubs, this is a must.

A flamethrower would be better for lighting up the annoying neighbors house. I saw one in action on mailcall one night..........I want one....the only thing better than a BAR would be a flamethrower.
